Due to excess supply, Thai fruits have very low prices. The head of the group would like to add value to Thai fruits. Therefore, the group produces candied fruits such as candied tamarind which was awarded OTOP 4-star product in 2003. The group also produces candied guava which was awarded OTOP 5-star product in 2004.
Manufacturing procedures
Select guavas and remove their seeds. Steam the guavas until they become soft and light brown in color. Then, grind the guavas. Add sugar and salt. Boil ground guava and the ingredients down. Then, shape them into candied guava into balls and roll them in sugar before wrapping with cellophane.
Product strengths
The manufacturer is the first who processes fresh guavas into candied guavas. Guavas help with the excretion system while removing phlegm and excretion system. It has a lot of vitamin C.
